Dog Separation Anxiety Back-to-School Plan: Home-Alone Gear. Below is the gear list we'd actually buy, plus a quick routine so the gear gets used every day. Every product here supports reactive & anxious dogs practice with short, reward-based sessions and one clear command.
How to use it
- Find the distance: Work where your dog notices the trigger but stays calm.
- Trigger = treats: Trigger appears, treats flow; trigger leaves, treats stop.
- Ask for focus: Reward a check-in with a "look" command.
- Close gradually: Shrink the distance slowly over many sessions.
- Manage the rest: Use routes, gear and timing to avoid big reactions.
